From the property take a 10 minute walk into the heart of the picturesque fishing village of Union Hall, with its thriving fishing fleet who supply the village fish shop with their daily catch.

3 KM to the east is the village of Glandore, known as the Riviera of West Cork it has a sheltered harbour where the sailing school operates from teaching young and old before venturing out into the open seas, upon your return enjoy open air dining looking back across the bay to Union Hall.

4KM to the west is the quant village of Castletownsend partake in pre- dinner drinks in Mary Ann’s then attend one to the many concerts held in St. Barrahane’s Church throughout the summer and autumn months. Continue west to the Market Town of Skibbereen where a visit the Heritage Centre is a must it houses a great exhibition of the 1840’s famine, or why not trace your west cork ancestry there is always one of the Genealogy Team on hand, you can also learn about Irelands first Marine Nature Reserve with it’s unique salt water lake” Lough Hyne”. Having digested all of this knowledge take a 5km drive towards Baltimore and visit the Lough once there take a swim in crystal clear waters, or try join Atlantic Sea Kayaking on a trip by day or under the stars at night. However if you are a land lover walking boats on head up to the top of Knowckomagh Wood nature Reserve where once at the summit you will take in the breath taking views of both Sherkin and Cape Clear  Islands.

This really is a centrally located spot for taking day trips to all areas of West Cork including Bantry, Mizen Head, Sheeps Head and the Beara Peninsula.
